About Me
My name is Sara Simone
Hello! I am Sara Simone, a singer/songwriter and musician. I have sung for my whole life and played instruments for over 6 years. I started playing ukulele when I was nine, when I started to gain a passion for singing. Soon after, I began taking music lessons at Noisemakers music school, which is where I started performing outside of school chorus/band performances. One year later, I got an acoustic guitar and started writing my own music. After performing many concerts at and outside of the music school, I joined a band called Syren (originally Siren). In Syren, I play bass, electric, and acoustic guitar. As a band, we continue to write and compose more songs. I have been in this band for more than two years and we continue to improve and expand our repertoire. We have played on many large stages, including Bayboro Brewing and Shore Acres 100th Anniversary. In addition to band gigs, I also perform my own gigs. I have recently played at 9 Street Coffee, SumitrA Espresso Lounge, and at a John Prine tribute. I have also started teaching music at Noisemakers. I teach a variety of instruments such as piano, voice, drums, and more. I have also furthered my own studies pursuing the Cambridge AICE diploma and taking keyboarding and music production at my high school. These courses help me achieve my academic and musical goals. Music production has allowed me to learn how to produce music on a computer and record original and cover music. I have recorded several solo and band songs, and I am currently working on recording more. I personally love many different genres ranging from R&B to grunge. I love playing the blues, but also jazz and rock n’ roll! Not only do I enjoy playing music, but I also enjoy learning music history. For instance, I based a large school project on the evolution of rock n’ roll. I love to research and learn about artists and types of music that interest me. Obviously, I love music and it surrounds my whole life! Playing and performing never seems like work because it is my passion. I would be privileged to perform for you and spread happiness.
